Meet Dawn Black

I’m running to represent Angus North & Mearns in the Scottish Parliament election in 2026 with a focus on community and progress. Currently local Councillor for Stonehaven & Lower Deeside, I understand the needs of residents in North East Scotland. Rooted in Angus North & Mearns, I’m committed to building a future that reflects our common values and supports local needs, including agriculture, flood defences, coastal erosion, rural transport links, energy, and tourism.

Community Roots

Scotland needs a strong democratic mandate for independence - and that starts with people re-engaging, voting, and demanding better. It’s not about party politics - it’s about putting Scotland’s future in Scotland’s hands. Westminster’s policies on energy, immigration and the economy are holding Scotland back. The SNP offer a clear route to a better life for everyone who chooses to make Scotland their home.
